Current Projects

Dr Marika Vellei was recently granted a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (comfortA 2021-2023), whose objectives are :
(1) to carry out human thermal comfort experiments in controlled climate chambers to better understand the psycho-physiological mechanisms driving the dynamic thermal perception, with a particular focus on the phenomena of thermal alliesthesia and thermal adaptation,
and (2) to create a novel physiological-based mathematical model of thermal comfort, which is able to better account for these two phenomena.
